In addition to maintaining and strengthening relationship in the field of oil and gas including infrastructure, Japan would like to discuss the possibility to enhance business chances and cooperation to build the win-win energy relationship beyond traditional energy demand-supply relationship.

- ・Promoting the energy saving, expanding the use of renewable energy, cooperation in the field of nuclear power plant

- a) Idea of Discussion
It is pointed out that the big economic disparity and high unemployment rate among the youth in Arab countries are parts of factors which cause recent changes in some countries, while Arab countries have abundant workforce and large-scale market. Japan would like to discuss ways of cooperation from Japan with Arab countries for solving these problems.
- b) Topics
- ・Capacity building of Arab people (incl. Increasing the number of Arab students studying in Japan)
- ・Technology transfer including 'cost-sharing technical assistance'
- ・Ways of cooperation in joint studies
